Adopted Village

Marwa, Adivasi populated village, being water surrounded for 3 months every monsoon was far behind the national and state parameters a few years ago.

When adopted by Janlakshya, it lacked in electricity, road, laterines ( only 2 of the 40 homes had it), gas connections( none of them had one), bank accounts, ration cards,etc.

Helping the community as well as coordinating and facilitating with government machinery( especially BDOs and SDOs Amdabad and Manihari blocks) has brought them to a better state of affairs.

Rendering all possible supports and motivation regularly every year, like providing boat, blankets, antihelminthics, medicines, flood relief, health advice, services for family planning and blindness control, etc.have brought their social upliftment and confidence.
